 “Youth Friendly Health Centre” inaugurated at Jamia

  The National Service Scheme, Jamia Millia Islamia in collaboration with Delhi State AIDS Control Society have come together to set up a "Youth Friendly Health Centre" at Jamia Millia Islamia.
The "Youth Friendly Health Centre" was inaugurated by Prof. Kiran Walia, Hon'ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi on August 12, 2010 at 11.30 AM.
Sh. Rajendra Kumar, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi was the Guest of Honour in the Inauguration Programme and Dr. Jayadev Sarangi, Mission Director, Delhi State Health Mission, Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi & Prof. S. M. Sajid, Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia were special invitees.
The Project Director of Delhi State Aids Control Society, Mr. Faizi O. Hashmi, on the occasion spoke about the concept of having a "Youth Friendly Health Centre" on campus. Such a centre would not only be able to provide clinical services to students on campus but will also disseminate information pertaining to health and hold awareness programmes.
